Bulk Trash Pick-ups

The City of Columbus, Campus Partners and the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio are doing their part to help thousands of current OSU students move out of off-campus housing and returning students move in between now and September 19.
                Eight special bulk-collection sites have been set up for students to bring used furniture, mattress, bed frames and other household items they no longer want. Many of the bulk items will be trucked to the Franklin County Landfill, while good, clean, usable items will be donated to needy Columbus families under a program co-sponsored by Phi Delta Theta fraternity and MAP Furniture Bank.

"Our goal is to accommodate the students, keep our alleys clean and ensure that usable items get to people who need them," Mayor Michael B. Coleman said. "This long-standing partnership with Campus Partners and SWACO has contributed to a cleaner neighborhood."
        Students can bring their bulk items to the following special drop-off sites:
               *       Rear of 51 W. 9th Avenue
               *       Rear of 175 W. 9th Avenue
               *       Rear of 104 E. 12th Avenue
               *       Rear of 155 E. 13th Avenue (available after August 31)
               *       Rear of 107 E. 14th Avenue
               *       East Woodruff Avenue and Tuller Street
               *       West Patterson Avenue next to the Tuttle Pool
               *       Williams Street between Oakland Avenue and Patterson
The special drop-off sites will be available through September
8. From September 9 to September 19, the Division of Refuse Collection
will increase the number and frequency of alley pickups of bulk trash,
boxes and regular trash.
