USG Urges University to Lift Restrictions on TV

There are televisions playing in many of the dining halls that have recently been required to air only CNN or ESPN.  Many of the OSU basketball games don't appear on ESPN but should still be allowed to air in the dining halls so that students can support Buckeye athletics.  All on-campus students pay a $465 program/facility fee for their meal plan each quarter and should, in return, be allowed to watch acceptable television programs on whatever channel they wish when utilizing such dining facilities.  Senate approved this resolution urging The Office of Student Life and Campus Dining Services to remove the recent restrictions placed on television channels within the dining halls.
